This “Design of the Week” features Excel Farming Division!
We take a look internally for our Design of the Week with this “Excel Farming Division” shirt, celebrating our relationships with our customers in the agriculture industry.
This week (Feb 11-15), Excel will be traveling to Louisville, Kentucky to take part in the National Farm Machinery Show.
“We wanted to do a special shirt for this year’s show,” says David Fedor, Marketing Director at Excel Sportswear, “so we created this design as if we were making a shirt for our own farm. What would a shirt for our ‘Excel Farming Division’ look like?”
On the front of the shirt, they settled on a one-color front chest design featuring livestock and crops. “Many of the farms we work with have similar products, and geographically I’d imagine we would, too. Corn and wheat, cows, goats, and chickens. That’s one of my favorite parts of the design, the chicken hiding in there.”
The back of the shirt features a scenic view of a farm with a barn, silo, and windmill. “The full-back is an important part of an advertising shirt,” says Fedor. “It tells the story of what the business does, and it’s often the most viewed part of the shirt. In this case, we wanted to have fun with our fictional farm, and then sneak ‘Custom Apparel’ in there to make sure people knew what we do. We make cool shirts like this.”
Excel will pack up a limited run of these shirts as promotional items for their time at NFMS20. Used as giveaways and prizes, Fedor hopes the shirts will be well received.
“I hope people will like them; I think they will. We’ll have some little contests, maybe give one away an hour, maybe if they place an order right then and there, they can get one. We’ll have some fun.”
The National Farm Machinery Show is one of the largest agriculture events in the country, and one of the regular stops on Excel’s yearly traveling schedule. This annual trade show not only offers the most complete selection of cutting-edge agricultural products, equipment, and services available in the farming industry, but it also gives businesses from around the world the opportunity to gain knowledge and hands-on access to the various technological advancements needed for the upcoming farming season.
“Last year, I had a great time meeting all the people and finding out what makes NFMS special,” says Fedor.
“We’re looking forward to some more fun this year. If you’re reading this and you’re going to be at the show, come find me in the South Wing at Booth 6019. Tell me you read this whole article, take a picture with us, and I’ll give you a shirt.”
