Creative Rods & Restoration is a classic car restoration shop, specializing in high-end classic car restoration work and show quality paint jobs.
Founded in Greenville, SC in 2012 by Travis Harvey and Vince Schmidt, Creative Rods & Restoration serves a nationwide client base, with frame off restorations on Pro Touring, Street Rods, and Back-to-Factory builds.
“Quality and craftsmanship are our main focus,” says Schmidt. Their recent projects include a 1969 Pro Touring Chevrolet Camaro, a 1966 Chevrolet C-10 Truck, a 1939 Packard Super 8, and a 1936 Ford Street Rod Truck.
Every year Creative Rods & Restoration holds a “Cruise In” to benefit local charities. This year as the community gathered to admire the classic cars on display; they raised canned goods and $1600 in monetary donations for a local food bank.
When asked about any “interesting facts” about their company, Schmidt shares that 50% of their workforce are left-handed! Four out of their eight employees are lefties. “Not very common,” Schmidt boasts. Statistically, he is correct, as recent studies show left-handers make up only 10% of the human population.
