Tell us about AVCC’s mission for the Regions it Serves: Androscoggin Valley Chamber of Commerce’s purpose is to build a strong local economy and improve the quality of life within the communities it serves. Tourism drives our economy. In fact, our region has bounced back from an economic downtown primarily because the AVCC has focused its efforts on destination marketing. Our membership is comprised of many tourism-‐oriented businesses – retail, dining, and lodging businesses and attractions.
What is unique about AVCC? AVCC helps boost the revenues of our members. We continue to promote outdoor recreational activities and organize events designed to attract visitors from within and outside of New Hampshire. We have had great success introducing visitors to our region through our summer and fall ATV oriented events. We have found that once people learn about our region, they come back time and time again!
What are some of AVCC’s Recent Events: Jericho ATV Festival (featured in our Design of the Week images), Wingzilla, Riverfire, Zombie ATV Poker Run, Redneck Poker Run – Signature events such the ones listed here bring people to our area. They then return on non-event weekends and vacations. This boosts our local economic development!
